One Year Breastfeeding Milestone in Portland

I still remember when Dylan came to my studio for his half year milestone. Jacky, mom, was in a panic in a local Facebook
mommies group because her original photographer had bailed on her. More than happy to step in, we got to work quickly on creating
a fun memory for him at that age. We “mommy chatted” during his session and she excitedly mentioned how nifty it would be at this first
birthday shoot to document their breastfeeding milestone. It became very apparent right then that this journey of motherhood and feeding was
so super important to her.

Fast forward 5 months and we virtually hugged, caught up with the current goings on, and started to brainstorm Dylan’s Donut Smash. What would
normally be “pre-smash smiles” evolved into a mini-breastfeeding session. Jacky is so so so proud of this accomplishment and you can see it in the glow on her face.
Congrats on making it to one year you two!

“Breastfeeding is empowering. It’s an accomplishment that takes dedication I didn’t realize I possessed!”

    a bittersweet farewell…

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of Meg Ross Photography. After much reflection and consideration following the death of my husband and children's father, I have made the difficult decision to close my business. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes after a great deal of contemplation about healing from grief and how to best show up for my children..

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for allowing me to be a part of your special moments. It has been an honor and a privilege to capture the beauty and emotion of childbirth for so many families. Your trust and support have meant the world to me, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your lives.

    Hugs and oxytocin,
    Meg Ross
